The ramp was found in an extremely bad condition, bent and twisted, still open by about 1 m, with the two starboard hinges still intact, however bent heavily to starboard and the port lower part with the two broken port hinges now being 30-40 cm distant from the coaming.
The various new damages to the ramp and the front bulkheads were obviously caused since June 1996 when the last publicly available video footage was produced. They are illustrated on the drawing on the following page. The numbers on the drawing refer to the paragraphs under which they are subsequently further described. |
