It has to be assumed that the visor finally became disconnected from the vessel when the heel had reached such an extent – probably 130°-140° – that bow ramp and forepeak deck did not hold the visor anymore and it sank to the seabed. Most probably the stern of the vessel at this stage was resting on the sea bottom already or was shortly before touching bottom. Therefore the distance between the visor and the bow of the ESTONIA at her final resting place has to be rather short. The scenario explained by the drawings
