The drawing on this page – being part of the casualty scenario – shows how such a load could have acted on the port side of the aft ramp house only or, at least more heavily, than on the starboard side which was hindered from moving aft by the stretched actuator in the sea bottom.
That such a movement of the visor did actually occur is proven by the images on page 143 made from the video of 18.10.04 (the “official” finding of the visor) which clearly show a pushed-up and pushed together seabed i.w.o. the ramp house and the visor arms. Another explanation for the cast up seabed could be the pulling away of the visor from the vessel. – See Chapters 3.2 / 3.3. |
